I’ve just got an assignment to provide furniture and design for a two rooms apartment in Lugano, belonging to a young couple. My work in progress is almost finished, I used the bold colors and simple lines trick, and of course high quality furniture pieces. They are thrilled to step in and I’m so pleased to see it done.
I know we cannot help but add red to our home for Christmas, as it is its statement color, it calls for Santa and it calls for good vibes and energy.
But I dare to show you how mixing silver and gold with white brings candor and that celebrating atmosphere for Christmas. A touch of black or grey and the elegance is there.
One of my favorite interiors is the house of architects Patrick Gilles & Dorothée Boissier in Paris. Stunning classing paneling and moldings from the XIX century combined with modern design elements. Simplicity and details, white with black and bronze accents, a perfect spot for living and inspiration.
Once that summer heat has faded away and some chilly breeze blows away the window curtains it’s time to adapt our home to the newly arrived autumn. It is a beautiful passage and a pleasant season towards the freezing winter days, so I don’t suggest to make major changes, but only some that make your houme a good match of this cosy season and its fabulous colors. As the nature changes outside always resonate with ourselves, our nests should follow the cycle as well.
