The most emotional and subjective project so far: my boy room.
I tried to avoid the blue supremacy, leaving it as accent color. By the way, did you know that in the past pink was used for boys and pale blue for girls? The sky blue was associated with the holly Mary and attributed to the baby girls while the bloody red kings mantel was transformed to pale pink for the newborn boys. Everything changed during the first WW, when it was easier to have the uniforms painted in blue, that became men’s color and thus the pale blue went for the little masculine ones.
For Filippo’s room I chosed neutrals and white, painting lucky elephants depicting each family member and sewing his initials on various objects.
I hope he’ll like it once he gets accustomed to our textile world.
